Children will develop five core skills: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship building skills, and responsible decision-making skills.
Language and literacy supports children’s cognitive development while allowing them to express their ideas, thoughts, and feelings, and to communicate with others. Literacy supports children’s
ability to read, and write, as well as to speak and listen in a way that allows them to communicate effectively. Literacy lies not just in the ability to read and write, but also helps children make connections and interpret details of the world in which they live in.
Gross motor development (physical) is a skill that enhances children’s growth and independence. This skill involves the movement of large muscles in the body to perform everyday functions, such as standing and walking, running, jumping, and sitting upright at the table as well as hand-eye coordination.
Fine motor skills involve a refined use of the small muscles which control the hand, and fingers. With these skills, children are able to complete important tasks such as writing, feeding oneself, buttoning and zippering.
Creative Minds Child Development Center offers an art program to engage children in areas such as dance, music, art projects, and dramatic play. Children are able to express feelings and creativity in delightful ways while appreciating art.
Children are encouraged to develop an understanding and enhance their knowledge in areas such as math, science, and social studies. Discovery play allows children to learn about the world and how it works.
Creative Minds Child Development Center will offer a cooking program to support and enhance children’s understanding of healthy and nutritious meals. Children will also be introduced to diverse cultural meals within this program.
Gardening provides children with a sensory stimulation that they experience in a garden. Feeling the texture of the soil or the plant leaves is also interesting, as is the smell of the fresh garden and its plants. Growing fruits and vegetables can also safely enrich your child’s sense of taste.
Integrating music and movement supports children with development, social interaction and language growth. Music enhances the creativity and curiosity in children. Moving along the beat of music helps develop the motor skills in children.
