Children will develop five core skills: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship building skills, and responsible decision-making skills.
Gross motor development (physical) is a skill that enhances children’s growth and independence. This skill involves the movement of large muscles in the body to perform everyday functions, such as standing and crawling, walking, and sitting upright at the table as well as hand-eye coordination.
Fine motor skills involve a refined use of the small muscles which control the hand, and fingers. With these skills, children are able to complete important tasks such as writing, feeding oneself, buttoning and zippering.
Integrating music and movement supports children with development, social interaction and language growth. Music enhances the creativity and curiosity in children. Moving along the beat of music helps develop the motor skills in children.
